Marco Island residents Scott Thurston Hicks and Lisa Marie Dolezel exchanged wedding vows on May 3, 2011. As the sun was coming up over the horizon along the Marco River, a lovely ceremony united the couple in holy matrimony and took place in the gazebo at Riverside Condominiums. Family members of the bride and groom were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Hicks are year-round residents.

A lovely beach wedding was held at sunset on April 26, 2011 between Wendi Friend and Chuck DeBlois. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. DeBlois' parents. The couple decided to take time away from their busy schedules to get married and enjoy the warm beaches of Marco Island together. The couple has since returned to East Kingston, New Hampshire to begin their wedded life.

April 22, 2011 was the date chosen by Sharon Beeson and Carlos Lopez to become husband and wife. The ceremony was witnessed by 10 members of the family and friends. A reception was held at a private home on Marco Island. The couple reside in Orlando, Florida.

On April 18, 2011, David Capelotti and Erin O'Brien exchanged wedding vows witnessed by 20 guests. The ceremony took place on Marco Island's South Beach. Mr. Capelotti is an auto body technician and Mrs. Capelotti is the head teller at a bank. A reception was held at Sasso's Restaurant. The couple have returned to Rockland, Massachusetts.

On April 2, 2011, Laura Opheim and Kevin Opheim were re-married on the beach of the Marco Island Marriott Hotel. The ceremony was witnessed by their three children, Erik, Kallan and Kara. The newlyweds are both in the healthcare industry, Laura as a nurse and Kevin as an executive. The family has returned to Strongsville, Ohio.

On March 21, 2011 Marti Rae Budzinski and John Francis Murray were united in Holy Matrimony on the beach at the Marriott Crystal Shores Timeshare. The ceremony was witnessed by the bride's parents. John is an operations manager at Credit Card Service Center and his wife is employed by Las Vegas Hospice as an admissions liaison. The couple have returned to their home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On the beach at Crystal Shores Timeshare on Marco Island, Christopher Zeppenfeld took Lori Ann Garzelloni as his wife. The private ceremony was held on March 20, 2011 and dinner was later enjoyed at Sale e Pepe. A church wedding will be held upon their return to Spring Lake, Michigan.

On March 16, 2011, Michael McCroskey and Karen Sue Douglas became husband and wife. The ceremony took place on the beach of the Apollo Condominiums with 20 guests in attendance. Both retired, Mr. McCroskey was a school teacher and Mrs. McCroskey a nurse. After the sunset wedding, a reception was held at Sasso's International Restaurant. The couple has returned to Kokomo, Indiana.

The venue chosen for the wedding between Bonnie Rost and Joseph Fisher was the 32nd Avenue Beach in Naples, FL. Approximately 15 guests were in attendance. Joseph is employed by Xcel Energy in Bayport, MN. Bonnie is a Treatment Coordinator for Sletten & Brettin Orthodontics in Hudson, WI. Bonnie's daughters, Emma Lee Rost, 14 and Abby Sue Rose, 13 were included in the Medallion Ceremony uniting the family as one on March 14, 2011. They have all returned to Stillwater, MN.

Brian Fletcher and Cynthia Sue Kelly exchanged wedding vows in Rogers Park, Naples on March 11, 2011. The beautiful Rose Ceremony was included in the service. The couple reside in Orlando, FL and have since returned home.

On February 6, 2011 Jessica Babbie became the bride of Casey Spiegel. Immediate family including their three young children witnessed the ceremony held at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort. The Spiegel family have returned to their home in Plattsburgh, New York.

January 2, 2011 was the day chosen by Robert Savard and Mary Ann McCormick to exchange wedding vows. Four close friends were in attendance at the ceremony that was performed at the Lakeside Inn's beach on Marco Island. The newlyweds have since returned to Quebec, Canada.

On 1/1/11, Amy Pritts and Chris Jones brought in the New Year by exchanging wedding vows. The private early afternoon ceremony as well as the Rose Ceremony took place on the beach of Marriott's Crystal Shores Timeshare while the balmy breezes along the shore were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Jones honeymooned on Marco Island and Everglades City and have returned to their home in Camden, Indiana.

Bringing in the New Year, on January 1, 2011at sunrise, William Martin Zerfass married Beverly Brook Griffiths. The private ceremony was performed on the dock at Riverside Condominiums. After honeymooning on Marco Island, the newlyweds returned to their residence in Cape Fair, Missouri.

On January 1, 2011 in the gazebo at Eagle's Nest Timeshare, Michelle Annette Carnes and Michael Robert Zerby exchanged marital vows and started the New Year as a husband and wife. The wedding was attended by the bride's parents and other family members including Michelle's four-year-old daughter, Danielle, who participated as the flower girl. Both Michelle and Michael are in property management. They have returned to Columbus, Ohio to begin their wedded life.
